Carly sighed as she entered the penthouse later that night. She sullenly
dragged herself up the stairs and entered the master bedroom. Jason
was=
right
behind her as she flicked on the lights and saw the room for the first
time.
The bed was covered in rose petals, and the room was littered with
bright
candles.
She gasped and whipped her head around. "Jason!!!"
He was watching her with interest. "You like it?"
Carly nodded. "I love it."
Jason wrapped his arms around her waist from behind. "Good."
Jason started to nibble on her neck. Carly laid her head back
on his
shoulder as
started to unbutton her blouse. She ran her hands along his arms.
She=
wanted
him, she needed him tonight. When he finished unbuttoning her
blouse, she=
let
it slide off and then turned around to face him. He had already
started
unbuttoning
his shirt, she nearly just helped get the rest undone. Carly
let her skirt
fall to the
ground as he pulled his undershirt off. Then they returned to
their=
passionate
kisses. Carly pulled him over to the bed and then they made love.

Lucas entered the doors of Wyndemere, a little tired. He had spent
so much
of the night
wandering around town. He walked through the conservatory where
he saw his
mother
sitting on the couch. "Mom."
Bobbie stood up and looked at her son. "Lucas, where the heck
were you?
It's almost half
past midnight. "
" I'm sorry Mom-" Lucas apologized.
"I thought you were going to Luke's party?"
Lucas turned his eyes away from his mother and looked at the wall.
"Well, I
was going to, but I
was walking home from the library and I guess I just kept walking and
lost
track of time."
"Why were you walking for so long?"
"I don't know it's just..." Lucas faced his mother again and continued.
"I
was thinking about...
Mom, in a week it'll be ten years since Dad left town."
Bobbie looked at her son with sympathy in her eyes. "That's right."
"I'm sorry if I made you worried Mom, it's just that it was all I could
think about since I realized
how close it was to that day. There's just so much I don't understand,
like
why did he leave."
Bobbie walked over to her son and hugged him. She spoke
in a softhearted
voice, "I wish
I could give you the answers, dear. I've gone over the same thing
over and
over again but
we may never know, honey. You need to move on."
Lucas stepped back and nodded. "I know... I guess Stefan is pretty
upset
with me for not calling
too."
Stefan and Lucas had a close relationship. Lucas respect Stefan
as a father
figure and almost
as a friend, he could just never bring himself to call him father.
The word
never meant
much to him ever since Tony left. Stefan loved Lucas like he
was his own
and Lucas
was always grateful for that, for him always being there when he needed
him,
unlike
the man he did call Dad.
Bobbie told Lucas, "He doesn't know. He had to go on a buisness
trip and
left before I
came home from Luke's birthday party."=7F
"Do you know when he'll be back?"
"In a few days, it shouldn't take too long."
"Okay... well, I'm gonna go to bed. All that walking tired me
out."
"Goodnight, Lucas."
"Nite, Mom."
Lucas ran up the stairs to his room.

Micheal was in bed looking in the photo album, seeing if he missed anything
the first time.
He had the lamp by his bed turned on as he flipped through the pages.
Nothing new was
coming up.
Micheal slammed the album shut. "Man, I need to find more information."
He
wondered
when he could go up to the attic again. Then, there was a knock
on the
door. "Micheal?"
Micheal put the album under the covers at his side and sat up. "Yeah,
dad?"
Tony opened the door and looked at his son. "What are you still
doing up?"
"I... I.... I can't get to sleep."
"Well, you need to get your sleep... I'll get you some warm milk."
"Oh, come on Dad, I hate warm milk, it tastes rounchy as hell-"
"Micheal."
"Sorry, heck."
"Good... now I'll get your milk."
"Dad, it's not neccessary." Micheal yawned. "See, I'm sleepy."
Tony shruged. "All right, if you say so. Goodnight."
Tony kissed Micheal on the forehead and hugged him. He looked
over
Micheal's shoulder
and noticed the corner of a book poking out from under the covers.
"What is
this?" He reached
over and pulled it out. Micheal looked at the album, terrified.
"My
album... where did you
get this?"
Micheal was at a loss for words. "I... I uh... well..."
"You've been going though the attic, haven't you?"
Micheal had no choice but to admit to it. "Yes."
"I thought I told you never to go up there!"
"You did-"
"So why did you?" Tony then looked at his son, worried.
"What did you find
up there?"
Micheal replied, "Nothing! Just a picture and that album, I swear!"=7F
"Micheal, don't ever go through the attic again! I told you once,
I'm not
going to tell you
again."
Micheal looked at his father, shocked. "Uh... All right, Dad. I promise."
Tony left the room, with the album, without saying another word.
Micheal
felt tears
forming in his eyes. He didn't want his father to hear him crying,
so he
smothered
his face into his pillow. He couldn't believe that his father
could be so
angry, he
never saw him like that before.
After crying for awhile, Tony walked back in. "Micheal, I'm sorry
for
reacting the
way I did."
Micheal pulled his head from his pillow and looked at his father.
"Why did=
you
yell like that?"
"I'm sorry, son, it's just that there are a lot of things in that attic,
things I do
not want you to go through... things better left alone."
Micheal nodded his head. "Okay... I promise not to go through the
attic again."
Micheal was still sniffling a little. Tony hated that he had
upset his son
like this.
I didn't want Micheal to be upset... he was just so afraid of what
could
have happened.
He could not find out he wasn't really his son. Tony hugged his
son.
"It's okay, I'm not angry at you. I'm sorry for yelling..." Micheal
wiped a
tear from his eye. "I'll
make it up to you tomarrow, okay?"
Micheal sniffed. "Okay."
Tony patted him on the back. "Good." Tony stood up. "Now
get some sleep,
okay?"
"I will." he replied.
Tony left the room and Micheal tried to fall asleep but he had a hard
time.
His father screaming at him made him sad... but also even more curious.
=
What
could be so important? What couldn't he know? What happened
to that
Tonia woman he was married to or what he thought was his sister, B.J.?
Could Tonia be his mother?
There were just so many questions and Micheal knew the answers were
in
the attic. He had to go back up there... he would just have to
be more
careful.

Carly put her hand on Jason's chest as it rised and fell from his breathing.
They had taken a moment to catch their breaths.
Carly smiled at Jason. "That was incredable... of course, it always
is."
Jason smiled back at her. He started to run his fingers through
her blond
hair. "So
it is... You think we could top it?"
Carly giggled as she straddled him. "I'm game if you are."
Jason grinned and raised his eyebrows in response. He pulled her
head down=
and
they started kissing. For a moment, Carly pulls back and stares
deep into=
his
eyes, almost like she was looking into his soul. "I love you."
"I love you, too, Carly. I could never live without you."
They were silent for a moment, still looking into eachothers eyes.
Then
they resumed
their passionate love making.

Chapter 3
"Why don't you just go over and talk to her?" asked Lucas' pesty cousin,
Maxie. It was another
day in the halls of Port Charles High. Lucas kept gazing over
at Serena
while he was having a
conversation. For some stupid reason, Lucas had told Maxie about
his crush
on Serena Baldwin
and she was continuously buggin him to talk to her.
Lucas saw Serena down the hall, talking to two of her girlfriends and
looked
back at his cousin,
"Are you nuts? I can't just go down there and talk. I'll
make a complete
ass of myself!"
Maxie replied, "Lucas, have a little faith in yourself. Serena
is just a
girl, not some godess."
Lucas could disagree about that, but he didn't, "No."
"Lucas, you don't have a shot at getting with her." He was shocked
to hear
this from the girl who
was pushing him to go to Serena, when she continued, "You wanna know
why?
Because YOU!
WON'T! ASK! HER! OUT! You see, if you never talk to her, then
you'll never
have the chance.
Sure, maybe, just maybe she'll decide to make a move... but can you
afford
to take that chance?"
"Well... look, I would absolutly love to just go over there and ask
her out
but.... what if she says
no? I'll be humiliated!"
"So? Wouldn't be better to be humiliated then to wonder "what
if"?"
Lucas shrugged. Why didn't she get it?
"Look, Lukey, I'm never gonna drop it. I'm getting sick of seeing
you
staring at her like a sad little
puppt dog."
Lucas was getting tired of his cousin... then he decided she was probally
right. The bell ringed
and Lucas looked over at Serena. Her friends were gone now and
she was
pulling stuff out of her
locker.
"Well, see you later." Maxie said, as she walked away to her last
hour
class. Lucas decided now
was the time.
He starting walking towards her, putting one foot foreward and then
the
other and kept going until
he was a few feet away. He took a swallow, and was starting to
feel his
face start on fire. She
was almost shaking when he was able to mutter the word, "Hi."
Serena looked over her shoulder at him. She gave him a big, beautiful
smile. "Hi."
He smiled, happy that he was finally going to do it. "Did you
want=
something?"
"Well, yes, you see..." Lucas panicked, "I-I-I... Hi." He couldn't
do it.
Serena gave him a look and Lucas started to walk away. She was
left behind,
wondering what
that was all about. In his mind, he started to think, "STUPID!
STUPID!
STUPID!!! WHAT THE
HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!!!! YOOOU BLEEEW IT!!!!!!!!"
~=3D~
Micheal was at his Danny's house. Danny was a friend of his who
he had
known for years. He
was his best friend, really. They were in his bedroom, playing
Goldeneye on
Nintendo 64. Danny
shot his Micheal's chatacter in the head and blood appeared on his
part of
the screen. "HA!
Gotcha Mikey!:
Micheal dropped the controller on the floor, put his head in his hands
and
shrugged. "Man, I can't
concentrate."
Danny looked at his friend, a little worried. "Still thinking
about last
night?" Micheal nodded his
head, his eyes concentrated on the carpet. "I don't think I've
ever seen
your father freak out,
must have been quite a show."
"Danny, it was scary... the way he reacted..." Micheal said.
Danny was began to really worry, "You didn't think he was going
to hurt
you, did you?"
Micheal looked at his friend. "No! No, nothing like that.
It's just...
something big must be hidden
in that attic if could cause such a reation."
"You're not gonna give up until you find out what it is, are you."
It was
said like a question, but it
wasn't like Danny didn't already know the answer.
Micheal nodded his head.
Danny said, "Okay, then. Let me know if you need my help with
anything."
Micheal smiled at his friend, grateful for his support. "Thanks."
It was a silent, awkward moment. It was unusual for these boys
to have such
a serious moment.
The only thing to do was to return to their usual routine.
"So do you want to play another game? I wouldn't want you to continuously
humiliate yourself by
playing me at this... then again, you'd get humiliated with any game
you
play against me." said
Danny, rarther smugly.
"DREAM ON!" Micheal said, laughing.

Chapter 4
Carly sighed and ran a hand through her silky, blonde hair. The door
to Kelly's opened and Emily, one of Carly's good friends these days,
entered.
"Hey baby!" Emily said cheerily.
Carly rolled her eyes. "Why so chipper?"
"Weeellll..." Carly turned at the excitement in Emily's voice. "Oh
my
Gosh, he told me that we should wait and tell the family together but
I
just *can't*!!!!"
"What? Who should wait?" Carly stared at her dumfounded.
"Sly and I are...engaged!"
*********************
Lucas watched Serena talking to her sister, Karen, and her husband,
Joe. She was so beautiful, it took his breath away. Too bad he
couldn't hear what she was saying across the huge PCH parking lot.
Lucas sighed miserably when Serena and Karen hugged, and Joe
helped her into the backseat of Karen's tiny, two-door Jag. The car
drove away and out of sight.
"I told you you're too chicken to ask her out."
Lucas turned and groaned, rolling his eyes at his pesty cousin
Maxie's presence.
"Stop bugging me and mind your business." Lucas began walking
down the stone steps of the PCH front, and Maxie rushed to catch up
with him. "Hey! Cousin! I can, you know, I can ask her out if you're
too chicken."
Lucas spun around on his heels, snapping, "I will ask her, alright?
I
will!"
"When?"
"I - I - don't know! Soon!"
*********************
Carly shrieked, throwing her arms around Emily's neck. "Really? It's
about damn time!" Emily laughed. "Well? Lemme see the ring!"
Emily giggled happily, and gently laid out her hand.
Carly beamed. "Wow!" The diamond glistened beautifully on Emily's
finger, twinkling lustfully. Emily's eyes were filled with joy and
happiness.
"So, what's the date?"
"December 31. We want to start off the new year together, as
husband and wife," Emily was so giddy she could barely control
herself. "Carly, I want you to be one of my bridesmaids."
"Sure!" Carly said. "Definitly! I'd be honored! Wow. . .my baby
cousin, married!?! What the hell is this world coming to?"
Emily laughed as Carly threw an arm around her shoulder. "Hell, what
do you say we go over to the house to celebrate? I'll bring the
champagne-" Emily watched as Carly knelt over in pain.
"Carly? Are you alright?" Emily bent down to keep her friend from
falling.
She nodded. "Yeah. I just got a little. . .a little dizzy, is all.
I think I
need to sit down."
"Sure, yeah, okay. I'll get you a glass of water."
Minutes later, Emily returned with a cool glass of water. Carly took
it
greatfully, and gulped it down in seconds.
"Wow," Emily observed, "You must be pretty thirsty."
Carly nodded. "Yeah. Or something. I don't know what happened, I
just got lightheaded and really, really dizzy all of a sudden."
"Are you okay, Carly? You look a little pale."
"Yeah, I'm fine," Carly said distantly. "Just fine. . ."
