"Lucky," Liz whispered leaning in.

They stepped into a simple kiss.  Liz and Lucky both jumped apart not looking
at the other as silence filled the room.

"I think we should go, uh now to the party I mean,"  Lucky stammered still
reeling from the kiss.

"Yeah, party, you me now," Liz stuttered.

"Okay let's go,"  said Lucky.

They head out of the house walking hand in hand and step into the car.

"Thanks for being such a great FRIEND Lucky and taking me to Chris' party."

"No problem Liz what are FRIENDS for."

"I hope I didn't give you the wrong impression in there when we kissed it was
kind of a thank you kiss."

Lucky sat there, feeling like his heart just got ripped into little tiny
pieces.  "Oh, um I thought it was a friendship kiss too."

"Great I'm glad we understand each other.  I give Nik those kisses all of the
time."  Liz said.

Liz thought to herself,"I just never get that kind fireworks feeling when I
kiss Nik."

"You kiss Nik?" Lucky asked disgusted with the fact that Nik even touches Liz.

"Sure he's a friend too Lucky."

"So do you want me to take you home later or you can catch a ride?"

Liz couldn't believe Lucky was asking her.  She guessed he was probably going
to pick someone up at the party.

"No, with my charm I'll have 5 million guys begging to take me home but only
one of them will be lucky enough to."

"Oh that Webber charm.  It gets a guy right in the heart."

"More like another part of the anatomy."

"Why aren't we cocky tonight Miss Webber."

"Darn tootin'."

"Darn tootin'.  Is that some cool Boulder slang we should all know about?"

Liz smiled at Lucky's cuteness and leaned over to whisper in his ear.

"I think it sounds pretty sexy."

Liz sat back in her seat and Lucky glanced at her between driving and noticed
between the flirtation Elizabeth Webber somehow changed, and for the better.

"Lucky, earth to Lucky."

"Uh, what sorry I was just thinking."

"Well, while you were dreaming of my sister we missed the exit to Chris'
house."

"Crap, and for your information I was not dreaming about your sister."

"So what did happen on that date of yours anyway that has got you so riled
up."

"I had this girl starring right in front of my face the whole time but I let
her go for your sister and all she could do was talk about Nikolas the whole
night okay!  Are you satisfied?"

"No need to blow a gasket there Lucky.  Geez if you were that touchy about it
I wouldn't have asked you."

"I'm sorry just a lot of things are on my mind right now.  I need to sort out
my life."

Lucky thought,"All my thoughts are consumed of you Elizabeth.  Why can't we
just be more than friends."

"Hey you can turn to me if you ever need any help or even if you want to make
a girl jealous."

"Would any girl ever resist the charm of a Spencer?"

"I certainly couldn't,"

Time to go see what Nik is up to so let's see shall we.

The baseball announcer said," Bottom of the ninth inning bases are the loaded
and the tigers are down by 3.  A grand slam and they win, can number 26 Billy
Conrad do it?"

"Gosh how much pressure can they put on one kid?" said Nik to Alex.

"A lot more than they can handle.  Come on Billy you can do it just keep your
eye on the ball,"  said Alex.

"Strike one.  Strike two," said the announcer.

"Time-out," said Alex to the umpire.  Billy ran over to her.  "Billy I know
you can do this and even if you don't it doesn't matter because I can see your
trying really hard out there.  Go out there and play your best."

"Can I say something?"  asked Nik.

"Sure go ahead,"  said Alex questioning Nik's agenda.

"Billy, man all you have to do is picture your greatest enemy on that ball and
smack it right out of the park.  I can see you do it, and then afterwards all
this little kids will be swarming around for your autograph.  You'll be
famous, you might even make the paper."

"Really?" asked Billy.

"Really kiddo, come on hit a homer, for Alex," said Nik.

"Okay Mister!"  Billy ran back to the field and hit a homer for the game.  He
came over and hugged Nik right away.  "Thanks Mister."

Alex looked at Nik's puppy dog eyes and it made her heart soften.  He gave up
all this free time just to help a kid out.  It really touched her.  She ran up
and gave him a hug and they felt this bolt of electricity pass through them.
Nik and Alex just held the hug for merely 5 seconds before she let go.

"Thanks a lot, I mean it."

"No problem.  It was what I could do to help."

Alex smiled a mile wide and gave Nik before she started to walk off.

"Wait, Alex!"

"Yeah."

"Um would you like to grab a bite to eat or something."

"Sure I'd love to."

"How about a hot dog on me."

"Sounds great!  So what does your uncle do for a living?"

Nikolas thought,"She's the girl of my dreams.  Beautiful and caring I can't
tell her who I really am I have to be plain old Nik."

"Uh he's a car salesman.  That's how he got the car."

"Oh really, my father is a construction worker.  We move around a lot because
he's kind of in-between jobs right now."

Nik thought,"I'll have to talk to uncle about getting Alex's dad a job."

They went and grabbed a couple of hot dogs and Nik got some mustard on the
side of his cheek.

"You got a little something on your check."

"Could you get it for me," Nik said while looking deep into her eyes
completely mesmerized.

"I'd be glad to," with saying that she leaned up and kissed him passionately.

Liz realized what she implied and turned on the radio to her favorite station.
The song "I Can't Get Enough of You Baby" described how desperately the two
teens wanted each other but they were too afraid to express it.

Lucky glanced over and Liz and saw her singing and dancing right along to the
music.  She had this certain appeal to her.  He wanted to be with her and have
her but it was too late.  He didn't realize that Elizabeth Webber was what he
wanted in time.

Liz thought,"It's wrong to have these feelings for Lucky.  Elizabeth Prudence
Webber it is just a crush and nothing more.  All he wants is an easy ride and
your better than that.  No matter how much I want him I have to stay away."

Lucky realized he loves Elizabeth and hated every moment he spent without her.

That line about the kiss sent her reeling back to all the kisses Lucky had
given her. The way it felt when he looked at her even. Elizabeth knew that she
had to somehow find someone that made her feel like Lucky or else she would
spend the rest of her life feeling second best to Sarah.

The song finally ended and the car was pulling into the woods where Chris
lives.

"So are we almost there Lucky?"

"About twenty more minutes to go."

Suddenly Lucky pulled over to the side of the road.

"What's wrong Lucky?"

"Were out of gas."

"That's a funny line now come on I want to go to this party."

"It wasn't a line Liz, check the tank monitor."

Sure enough it read E for empty.

"Great now what do we do Elizabeth.  Were in the middle of nowhere because you
wanted to got to Chris' party and there are no telephones for miles."

"Don't blame me your the one that didn't fill up your gas tank."

"But we'd be at your house right now if you didn't want to come here and party
hardy with all your dreamy hunks."

"Listen Lucky, I'm just trying to fit in here.  Look if you weren't too busy
daydreaming about my sister we wouldn't have missed that exit."

"For the second time I wasn't dreaming about your sister."

"Yeah right Lucky."

"Why do you automatically assume that?"

"Because maybe I watched you moon over her for about 6 months.  Get over it
Lucky, she certainly did and mighty quickly."

"You know if you weren't too busy flirting back there I wouldn't have missed
that exit."

"I wasn't flirting with you.  You were flirting with me."

"Was not."

"Was too."

"Wan not."

"Was too too too."

Lucky and Liz locked eyes and started to laugh.

"Okay how about we both did our fair share of flirting," said Lucky.

"I'll agree to that.  So what do we do know Mr. Spencer?"

"I don't suppose you would like to take a walk with me."

"I'd love to."

"More along the lines of a 15 mile hike."

"15 miles?  With these shoes on?  Are you crazy?"

"Not as crazy as you."

"Ha ha very funny.  How about I'll make you a deal.  If I walk with you
instead of staying in the car where I would be safe you have to take me out to
dinner."

"Okay Webber, if you can make it in those Spice Girl shoes of yours.  But if
you don't make it and I end up at the Ranger's Station by myself having to
bring help back to you then you will cook a meal for me."

"It's a deal."

They shake hands and start walking to the forest station.  On the way there
they have the best conversation either one has ever had talking about music,
life, and more.   They sang songs and giggled together.  Then they were
walking down this steep hill and Liz suddenly tripped forward into Lucky and
they both rolled down the hill.  Liz landing on top of Lucky.

"See how I make us go faster."

"Faster but with more injuries."

Liz rolls off of Lucky with a throbing pain in her ankle.  Lucky gets up and
Liz tires to but her ankle hurts to much.

"Lucky, I can't get up my ankle, it hurts so bad."

"Let me see."

He takes off her shoe and can see the swelling start to form.

"It's sprained."

"Whoop-de-doo peachy keen.  This is turing out to be the best night of my
life."

"Come on I'll carry you to the ranger's station."

"Lucky I can't ask you to do that besides I'll be fine you go on ahead."

"Elizabeth if you think I'm leaving you here you must be crazy."

"Lucky look you can get there faster, I'll be fine."

"I'm carrying you no matter what you say."

Lucky picks Liz off the ground in fireman fashion and carries her over his
shoulder.

"You just had to wear the Spice Girl shoes didn't you Liz."

"They had nothing to do with me tripping."

"Whatever you say," Lucky sighed.

After a couple of hours Lucky found a cave and he and Liz entered.

"We should spend the night here and head out in the morning.  Daylight is
better anyway," Lucky said.

"If you say so Captain."

(Author's note:  Lucky brought a bag with him and Liz brought her purse.)

"So are you hungry?"

"Are you kidding me I'm starving.  I could eat the entire moon."

"Well I don't have moon but how about some beef jerky."

"Sound great!"

Lucky went inside his bag and dug out some food for Liz.

"What else do you have in there Mary Poppins."

"A first aide kit so I can bandage you."

"What kind of bag is that."

"Survival bag.  It's what I carry around with me all the time just in case
something happens."

Lucky picks up Liz's foot gentley and starts to bandage it.

"Tell me if I'm hurting you."

"You could never hurt me, physically anyway."

He finishes up.

"All done."

"It feels much better."

They lock eyes but then Lucky looks away.

"Uh here have this blanket I wouldn't want you catching a cold."

"What about you?"

"I'll be fine Elizabeth."

"No you won't.  Come on share with me so we can both be warm."

"If you insist."

"I do."

Lucky goes and sits over by Liz.  She snuggles up to him and he puts his arm
around her.  They sit there and fall asleep quickly as the stars shine upon
their cuddling faces.

Impressions Chapter 7

Recap: (Per your request)  Liz and Lucky are now just FRIENDS.  They shared a
kiss but Liz said it was a friendship kiss.  They were going to go to a party
but ran out of gas and Liz sprained her ankle so now they are in a cave
spending the night together.  Nik and Alex shared a kiss after her softball
team won a game!

BACK to Nik and Alex after their smooch!

Nik just stood there looking blankly at this beautiful English girl.  (I'm too
lazy to look in the back chapters too see if I described her already so I'm
just going to make it up as I go along).

"Well, cat got your tongue?"  said Alex.  Looking at Nik trying to read his
expression.  What he did for that little kid giving him confidence totally
melted her heart.

"More like the English girl had it." Nik replied.

"So I'm assuming it wasn't daft at all?"

"If daft means bad then yes it wasn't daft at all but I think I would like to
practice it more if you catch my drift."

"I'd like that."

They kiss smooch smooch whatever.  Then Nik drove Alex home.  She lived in a
tiny apartment on Courtland Street.  Then he drove to Liz's to check up on
her.  Climbing up to her window he spotted that she wasn't there but decided
she must be out with Lucky.  He decided to come back the next morning too talk
with her.

Liz and Lucky continued to sleep but suddenly Lucky is woken up with a smack.
Liz's arm just hit his face.

"Owww."

Liz suddenly woke up and checked on Lucky.

"What happened?"

"Your arm went teminator on me."  Lucky said.

Suddenly Liz started laughing and she couldn't stop.  Lucky's cute face was
too much to bear.

Lucky asked, "What's so funny Webber?"

"Nothing," Liz managed to get out between laughs.

"So we're playing this game huh?" Lucky then picked her up in his arms and
lifted her high above head. "So tell me what's so funny now."  He tauted her
with ups and downs and pretend trippings.

"Nothing, I swear Lucky just please put me down."

"Just repeat after me."

"Fine."

"I think Lucky is the cutest, funniest, best guy in the whole world.  In fact
he is a GOD."

"Lucky!"  Liz pleaded.

He then taunted her again.

"Okay okay Lucky is the cutest, funniest, best guy in the whole world.  In
fact he is a GOD!  Happy?"

"Very much."

He slid her down the front side of him and as her eyes passed they locked
eyes.  Liz's feet were still dangling from the floor.  He leaned over to catch
her beauty with his lips and ended up putting her feet on the ground.

"Owww!"

"Are you okay Liz?"

"Have we forgotten I have a sprained ankle?"

"I'm sorry."

"That's okay Lucky.  Can you help me back to our corner?"

Lucky went reeling he loved how she said 'our corner' as if they have their
own special spot.  Then he noticed that during his tauntin they had travled
across the cave.

"Come on Webber the night is young."

"Lucky it's 4:00 in the morning."

"Then the morning is young."

"Ha! Ha!  What do you suggest we do?"

"Well, you did promise to dance with me at Deanie's party but I don't believe
I had the pleasure."

"Lucky we can't dance here my foot hurts and there is no music."

"Ah contrar.  I have a little known thing called a radio in my bag."

"What for?"

"Oh when I was little I got board when we were hiding out in caves like this.
I always carried one around to entertain me."

"Well one out of two ain't bad but even you can't work miracles.  How do you
suppose your going to fix my foot?"

"I don't need to, watch."

He scooped her up in his arms and she giggled.  He then put her down and
turned on the radio.  Just then a delightful song came on Nothin's Gonna Stop

Port Charles is a drag but she's different.  I wonder how I could make her see
that."

Liz thought,"Too late I already lost Lucky.  I wish that, that I ignored what
he said the other night but I couldn't.  Now that I think about it, it wasn't
possessive, it was sweet.  I can't change the past but maybe I can, I don't
know what I can do but I better do it before someone else does."

Lucky thought,"If I had only told her the truth about how I felt from the
moment I felt those feelings.  I can't believe I was such a dope and it took

The song finished and the laughing stopped.  Lucky set Liz down on his jacket
and then sat down himself.

"I have to admit Spencer that was fun."

"For me it was because of the company."

Liz blushed and flashed a big grin at Lucky.  Lucky smiled back with those
cutie pie dimples.

"Hey Liz if your up to it we can start heding out to the Ranger Station?"

Liz's heart sank lower than the Titantic.  Lucky didn't want to be here with
her, he had no choice.  It was too late from them to be a couple.  She instead
just replied, "Yeah sure Lucky let's go right now.  I mean I want to go home."

Lucky then saddened.  He only said that to see if she wanted to stay with him
there but he guessed she didn't.

"Great, Liz let's go."

He picked up his bag and carried Liz over his shoulder.

"Are you sure your okay, I mean carrying me and all?"

"I'm sure I can carry the 2 pounds you way."

"Flattery, very good Spencer, I knew you learned something from this night."
Liz shouted while facing his back.

"More than you know Elizabeth, more than you know." he muttered.

"What did you say?"

"Just yeah I did learn a lot."

"Good I've taught you well now you must go forth and give other girls some
flattery."

"Yeah, other girls."

Liz felt her heart skip a beat.  He was thinking about other girls, it was her
turn to move on from Lucky Spencer and think about other boys.

"So Lucky how about a game?"

"Why not we have about 20 minutes to kill before we reach the ranger station."

"Okay, how about Truth or Truth."

"Don't you mean Truth or Dare."

"Dares aren't funny with only two people.  So how's about it Spencer are you
man enough to play a girly game?"

"Okay your on Webber."

"I'll go first since it was my idea.  Truth or truth?"

"Gosh decisions decision, I think I'll go with truth."

"Okay, truth, are you a virgin?"

"Excuse me?"

"Come on Lucky, I'm curious. I haven't even known you for a whole year.  Come
on, you have to tell me."

"Okay, yes I am a virgin.  If you must know."

"That wasn't too hard was it?"

"No, only because I know it's my turn next."

"Okay, shoot, ask me anything.  But you can't ask the question I asked because
it's part of the rules."

"I'm sure it was the rules made up by Miss Webber just than to save her hide."

"No, I would never cheat in a game of Truth or Truth."

"Mm-hmm.  Okay I still have a juicy personal question.  Name all the guys
you've played seven minutes in heaven with."

"You mean the closet game."

"Yep."

"Are you talking about this year or my whole life?"

"Your whole life."

"Besides you?"

"Besides me."

"No one," Liz mumbled.  "Okay next question my turn."

"What did you say I couldn't quite hear you?"

"I said no one," Liz mumbled again.

"Liz I'm not a hound dog just tell me, come on I told you about the virgin
thing."

"No one!  Okay Spencer you were my first."

"Oh I didn't-"

"First of all it isn't even like I had a choice and second of all it's my
turn."

"Yes darlin'.  I'm already."

"Thank-you.  Okay Lucky, here's my question, have you ever been in love?  Wait
before you answer it has to be that head over heels want to spend my whole
life with that person kind of love.  Plus you have to tell me who you have
been in love with."

"Well your certainly prying deap."

"Come on we only have about 5 minutes Lucky, tell me."

"Well okay, I've-"

Suddenly a police car drove by.

An officer spoke, "You youngin's need a ride?"

"Thanks man, our car broke down abot 15 miles down the road.  We were trying
to hike it to the ranger station."  said Lucky.

"Lucky Spencer right?" the other officer commented.

"How did you know?"  Liz asked.

"We saw the car down the road and ran a license check."

"Oh, well thanks officers we could really use the ride."  Liz said.

"Yeah thanks.  I think we should go to the hospital first.  Liz sprained her
ankle and it needs to be x-rayed."  Lucky said.

"Well hop right in."

Lucky gently laid Liz down in the back seat of the car and he sat down
underneath her head.  She quickly fell asleep and he brushed the hair out of
her eyes.  Good thing he never answered that question or else she would know
the truth that he loved her.
