Angel looked around trying to find a place to sit in the cafeteria

"no no he can't" she saw gus staring at her what was going on here i
doesn't even go to this school, he motioned for her to come over she
nodded
her head No he came over to her and grabbed her arm roughly like he had
the
earlier that morning and yanked her out into the ally between her school
and a
store

"Gus what wat are you doing here?" she asked nervously

"i came to say hi to my "Angel"

"oh well you said hi can i go now?"

"no" he had her pinned to the stone wall and she felt a wave of fear
wash
over her

"Gus listen i have to get back 1st period starts soon and everyone will
wonder where i am"

"ok but we have to get some things straightend out first"

"yeah ok like what?"

"like tomorrow i want you to come over to my house i'm gonna fix a nice
dinner for just the two of us"

"i woudl love to" she lied "but my dad is taking me out to dinner for my
birthday"

"so what i'm not good enough for you now huh? not rich enough"

"No , no Gus listen my dad well it's like a ritual on my birthday he
always
take's me out and he would be really upset if i canceld"

"oh so you just wanna make me upset huh?" he was right up in her face
now
and she swallowed

"Gus please let me go"

he slammed her head against the wall  she stars and she felt dizzy

she felt herself slipping to the ground when he yanked her back up

"why do you make me do this to you? i don't wanna hurt you i love you"
 

"then why are you doing this to me? is it to torture me ?" he let go of
her
for a minute and she dashed away running as hard as ler legs would let
her
but his long athletic strides caught up to her quickly

"If you don't l;eave me alone i will tell my dad and get my mom to get a
restraining order on you" she said trying to keep her voice calm
 

"Angel that doesn't matter because i would kill you before i lost you"

"what...what what are you talking about?"
 
"we will be together either in this lifetime or the next"

"Oh my god so if i tell your gonna kill us both so we can die togther.
you
are so sick " she dashed out of the ally
 
 
 

"what am i going to do?" she asked herself as she looked in the mirrior
of
the girls bathroom she gingerly tryed to wiped most of the blood off her
hair with a wet issue just then her Friend Maxie Jones came in  (ok
everyone i didn't say in the prologue that Maxie would be in here but i
just thought of it oh another thing she's being aged to 16 )

"hey Angel what ya doing?"

she wiped her eyes "nothing"

"you ok?"

"yeah i'm fine"

"what happend to your head?"

"what ?"

"theres blood al over your hair"

"oh yeah well i fell i'm really clumsy"

"No actually your not when Mrs Lin was teaching us that class of etiqute
you were the only one who never spilled her drink never tripped.  What's
going on?"

"Drop it Max nothing is wrong" she said as she walked out the door
 
 
 

Monica drank her cup of coffee she imagined that a time ago it was hot
and
actually taste's good she sighed and threw it in the garbage

Bobbie came up to her

"Monica hi "

"hi" she said tiredly after  working all night plus an emergency surgery
this morning she was beyond exhaustion

"um i want to know if you are planning to let Tony back on staff here?"

"we talked about this before Bobbie if he proves he's changed i will
have
no choice but to reevaluate him"

"so lets talk about somethign else" Bobbie suggested

"sure, actually i did have a question for you"

"shoot" Bobbies said sitting down next to her

"well i saw that girl in room 2378 and she's anorexic. i know you have
gotton close to her and she seems to be doing better i was wondering
what
you told her"

"why do you want to know about that?"

"i um i look i think my nephew's daughter is anorexic"

"Angel?" Bobbie asked curiously

"Yes, see i don't have any proof but she never eats at the table with us
and when she does it's because Neds forcing her to and first i though
that
maybe she just doesn't like being around all of us, i mean it's not
exactly
fun at the dinner table but i don't know she's always had a very slim
figure that made even Emily jealous but now it looks like she's just
dropping the pounds"

"i have realized through all the anorexic patients i've talked to that
anorexia is usually caused by someone saying your fat even if it's a
joke
or pressure from your parents or other kids at school but what i've
found
that with quite a few of these anorexic teen girls are in an abusive
situation"
 
 
 

Angel sat down on her bed for the first time today she allowed tears to
flow freely down her cheeks she looked up as Michale walked inot her
room

she wiped her face with her hand adn smiled at him

"Hi Mike, whats up?"

"Nothing how was your day?"

"um....." she thought back to the sound her head made being cracked
against the wall  "it was fine so what can i do for my favorite cousin"

"i have a question for you"

"go ahead i'm listening"

"Ok My daddy says that men should never ever ever under any
circumstances hit a women"

Angel felt the bloood drain out of her face Did Michael know what was
going on? sh ehad always said he was smarter then anyone gave him credit
for

"your daddys right Lila say you can tell alot about  a man by the way he
treats a women"

"Then your boyfriend is an A@@Hole"

she stared at him shocked at him swearing"

"Michael i don't know what your talking about"

"stop Lying i heard you he hit you yesterday i heard you say he did"

"Michael listen to me it's not what you think ok just you don't
understand"

"Angel why do you let him teat you lke that?"

"Michale he's not hurting me ok"

"whats that?"

"what?"

"theres something on your hair"

Damn she thought that cut woudln't stop bleeding

MIchale touched her head

"it's blood he did it again didn't he"

"Michael please you don't know whats going on your too young to
understand"

"you need to tell you parenst they can help you"

"no Michael have you not been hearing me nothing is wrong ok i am fine "

"then where did you get that cut on your head?"

"i fell ok is that a crime"

"Angel stop denying it. ok how many times has he hit you?"

she finnally gave in

"around 6 times"

"god Angel "

"it was awhile ago he promised he would never do it again and he hasn't
up until last night"

"you need help, tell me something Angel can you stop him"

"what do you mean"

"can you make him stop hurting you"

"no" sh e admitted weakly

"thats all i wanted to know" he got up and headed for the door

"Michael what are you doing?" she asked worriedly

"you need help and i don't want to be a tattle tale but if your not
going t tell someone i will" he raced off down the hall toward A.J.s
room she ran after him she stopped for a moment to compose herself if
her adad saw her like this he would defifntly believe Michael she got to
the door right as Michael said to carly

"Mommy Angels Boyfriend hits her"

she saw three sets of brown eyes looking at her A.J.'s her Dad's and
carly's

What am i going to do....she thought to herself
