Chapter 1

Mulder¹s Office is in a small town just outside of NY City.

Mulder sat in his smoke filled office dragging on his cig, trying to forget about the heat.  It was stifling.  It was
dusk and he was about to call it a day.  He hadn¹t had a case to solve in weeks.  If this kept up he¹d have to
get a day job, maybe something in the government.  He¹d never had this big of a slump in business, after all
he was Fox ŚSpooky¹ Mulder, Private Dict.  He had single-handily solved over a hundred cases in the two
years since he¹d set up his investigative agency.  Well actually he couldn¹t take all the credit, Lizzie B., his
ever faithful girl Friday, had helped out a lot since she¹d taken over as his assistant.  Her given name was
Elizabeth and she was a devastatingly cute brunette he had hired on sight about a year ago.   Man did he
love short, petite women, they made him feel soŠ soŠ long, err strong.  As it turned out, not only was she
adorably cute but she was also good at her job and very efficient, thus earning her the nikname Lizzie B.  He
only gave pet names to people he liked.

Just then there came a knock at the door, that snapped him out of his thoughts.  Before he could respond,
the door slowly opened to reveal the most stunning woman he¹d ever seen.  She looked to be about 5¹3",
shoulder length red hair, piercing blue eyes, petite, full mouth, and a delectably sexy beauty mark strategically
placed on her upper lip.  Oooo that mouth, inwardly he thought, <I wonder how that mouth would feel on
myŠ>

She had this smoldering look in her eyes and she slowly looked him up and down.  She took in his
appearance, maybe 6 ft tall, lanky, dark brown hair, 80¹ hair cut, greyish brown eyes, and lastly her gaze
rested on his full lips.  <Nice.  I wonder how those lips would feel on myŠ.>

"Hel-lo, Red?   Is there anything I can help you out of?"   Mulder said suggestively.

"A jam perhaps?"   he finished belatedly.

"Well, there have been a series of murders in my home town (Port Charles) and the local police are baffled
as usual.  I need you to solve the case before anymore people die.  This case is very personal to me.  These
are the people I grew up with and they are dropping like flies.  Can you help me, MrŠ MrŠ" she prompted.

"Mulder.  No Mr., just Mulder."   he supplied

"Mind if I ask what your first name is."   she asked as she leaned up against the door frame provocatively.

"No, I don¹t mind, but I still go by Mulder."  he said.

When it became apparent that he wasn¹t going to supply her with his first name she shrugged, straightened
and slowly took in the atmosphere as she walked into his office.

"What¹s your name?"   he inquired.

"You tell me,"   she said, just as she lost her balance and fell.

"Obviously not ŚGrace¹ "   he muttered as she landed in a heap on the floor.

He walked over and helped her up.   "I give up.   What do people call a delicious little treat like you?"   he
asked.

Deliberately licking those luscious lips of her, she said,   "My given name is Scarlet, Dana Scarlet but most
people just call me ŚScarlet¹.

"Whatever you say, Red."   he said.

Finally tearing his eyes off her scantily clad body Mulder said,   "So, why don¹t you tell me a little more
about these murders you¹re so interested in having me solve.   Have a seat and start from the beginning."

"Okay Mr. Mulder."   she said breathlessly.

"Just Mulder,"   he said

"Okay, Mulder."

Chapter 2

"The first victim was a international business tycoon and also a former classmate of mine named Jasper Jax.
He was found on the docks strangled to death by his own accent.  Funny, everyone always thought that
Brenda would be the first to talk herself to death."   Scarlet said.

"What do you mean?"    Inquired Mulder.

"You¹ll see soon enough when you question her."   Scarlet said breathlessly,   "Anyway, according to the
county coroner¹s office some sort of chemical was used that caused the muscles in his throat to constrict.
Since Jax had a lot of enemies and rivals in the business world, it was thought that his death was a revenge
killing.  Then came the others, each murder more confusing and pointless than the former.  The victims were
all seemingly unconnected."

"Are you getting all of this down Lizzie B.?" he said

"Sure thing, Boss. "   responded Elizabeth.  Inwardly Elizabeth thought,  <What¹s with that breathless voice.
Is she asthmatic or just flirting?>

Returning his attention to Scarlet, Mulder asked,   "So tell me about the other victims.  Who were they and in
what order were they killed?"

"Katherine Bell was next.  She was a slut."   Scarlet informed him.

"Professionally?"   He inquired.

"Oh, no!  She gave it away for free.  Stephan, Mac, Damian, Ned, it was even rumored that Luke had a
piece of her.  Professionally she ran a cosmetics company.  Her and Mittens (her cat) were found floating in
the water around the docks.  Kats can¹t swim you know.  Since both Kat and Jax were into the cosmetic
industry, the police suspected that maybe there it was some sort of industrial espionage/blackmail/murder
deal gone wrong."   She finished breathlessly.

"Take your time.  We have all night if you need it."  He cooed,  "Continue."

"That¹s when the FBI got involved.  You see Jax and his entire family were under investigation by the FBI
for alleged ties to organized crime and the FBI thought of the Jax and Kat¹s murders as an easy way to get
more evidence against the remaining members the Jax family business."  Scarlet said.

"Okay, next?"   He asked

"A.J. Quartermaine quickly followed Kattherine."    She seductively whispered said

"Yes, I¹m familiar with the family."   Mulder informed her.

"Yes, I thought you would be."   Scarlet continued breathlessly,   "At first, A.J.¹s death was not listed as a
homicide but later after the forensic lab examined the body it was ruled that foul play was involved.  You see
technically he died of alcohol poisoning and no one questioned it since he was a recovering alcoholic, but the
strange thing is that the he did not drink the alcohol.  It was forced down his throat by someone else."

<I may need a drink myself by the time she¹s done.  Just listening to her talk is making me thirsty.>  Lizzie B.
thought to herself.

"The thing that the police cannot figure out is why were all the victims killed in such an elaborate way.  Why
not just shoot them or slit their throats.  Why go through the trouble of drowning Kat and Mittens, why take
the time to slip Jax the contractive micky, and why force feed AJ.?"   she whispered emotionally.

<Geez!>  Elizabeth thought,  <is she hoarse now?>  "Care for a cough drop, Ms. Scarlet."   Lizzie B.
tentatively inquired.

"No, thanks.  I¹m fine."   she replied.

<You¹re right about that one, Red>  thought Mulder.  You could cut the sexual tension in his office with a
knife.

"So, am I to understand that there have been three victim so far?"   he concluded.

"You would be wrong in that assumption, Mulder.   There are almost two other victims."   she contradicted.

"Pardon?  Almost two?  Explain."  He said

"Well it¹s simple Mr. Mulder, there is one other murder victim and one would be murder victim who survived
his attempted murder.  Oh, and I meant Mulder."   she patiently explained.

"Cute, very cute.  Okay, tell me about the last two."  he said

Scarlet continues,   "The last actually murder victim was Dr. Tony Jones.  He was a neurosurgeon at General
Hospital.  In fact that¹s where his body was found.  Apparently, he was in a strait jacket in the psych ward,
and he had been smothered to death with a baby blanket.  It¹s all so bizarre and twisted!"  She sobs as her
resolve finally crumbles.

A sucker for a damsel in distress Mulder immediately closes the distance between Scarlet and himself and
pulls her to him.

"It¹ll be okay, Red.  I¹m going to solve this case, but what I need from you now is more details about the
surviving victim.  That¹s where I¹ll probably obtain my most useful information.  Do you think you are up to
it?"  he asked

<Oh brother!  He¹ got it bad for this one.  He¹s usually very professional and hands off with his clients.>
thought Lizzie B.

In fact him and Lizzie B. made a rule never to get to emotionally involved with a client.  It was best to stay
impartial since, in their line of work, things were rarely what they seemed.

"The surviving victims¹ name is Lucky."   Scarlet announced.

"How appropriate."   Mulder muttered, rolling his eyes.  "Go on.  Tell me all you can about him.  I want to
start my investigation with our one living witness."

"He¹s the son of Luke and Laura Spencer.  He is 18yrs, average height, dirty blond hair, blue eyes, 170lbs,
slight buildŠ.

<Well, well, well, just my type!> thought Lizzie B., <This is finally getting interesting!>

"Ah, Lizzie B.?  Aren¹t you going to change that?"   Mulder questioned

"Huh, what?"   she stammered

"The typewriter ribbon?  It ran out a minute ago, where have you been?"   Mulder said looking at her rather
oddly.

"Oh yeah, Boss.  Just a sec."   She said as she reached to obtain a replacement.

<Maybe he should look into getting his tape recorder fixed?>  Mulder thought.

Scarlet continued,  "Lucky was working late at Mike¹s club one night and when he went out back to empty
the trash someone hit him from behind and knocked him out.  Apparently the murderer was interrupted by
someone who just happened to pass by because Lucky says that he woke up in the hospital with a very soar
throat and bruises all over his neck."   Scarlet finished breathlessly,  "That¹s all I can tell you."

"Hmmm?"  Mulder thought   "What do you mean that¹s all you can tell me?" he asked

"Oh, that¹s all I know.  Isn¹t that enough to get you started?"  She anxiously asked

"Yeah, but there are still a lot details that I lack.  But listen I can get those from the good people of Port
Charles.  Why don¹t you go home, get a good night¹s sleep, and I¹ll start my investigation bright and early
tomorrow morning."   Mulder suggested.

"Thank you for taking my case, Mr. Mulder."   She said as she stood up.

He stood up at the same time as Scarlet and was about to correct her about his name again when she lean
over and whispered in his ear,  "I know, it¹s just Mulder."   With that she left.

Chapter 3

Lulu is 4 1/2 and she actually speaks in this story.

Mulder and Lizzie B. had taken a late train to Port Charles and had then taken rooms at the Port Charles
Hotel.  They were dressed and ready to roll at about 10:00 A.M. the next morning.  They decided to go see
the Spencer kid first.

"Is that all you¹re going to have for breakfast?  You know, Boss that¹s not very healthy."   Lizzie B. chided.

"I happen to know that nuts and seeds are very good for your health.  They supply the body with protein."
Mulder countered

"I know they¹re healthy for you in and of themselves, but that doesn¹t mean that¹s all you should eat."  Lizzie
B. lectured.  <Someone had to worry about his health even if he didn¹t.>  She thought.

With that they arrived at the Spencer¹s door.  Mulder gave it a swift knock.

The door swung open so suddenly that both Lizzie B. and Mulder jumped slightly.  There was a tall man
standing there with a head full of wildly frizzy graying hair that seemed to point in every direction.  The hair
on his bare chest was equally unruly.  He wore pink and red boxers with bouquets of hearts and flowers on
them, and he had what appeared to be a toy caveman¹s club in his hand.

"What!"  the man fairly yelled.
Lizzie B. spoke first,  "How are you?"  she nervously asked.

"Nuts?"   Mulder offered.

"Who are you people and what the hell do you want?"  he asked heatedly

Just then a woman¹s voice could be heard coming from somewhere in the house.  "Luke, sweetie, I thought
you were going to get rid of them?"

"Uh, go back to bed, Angel.  I¹ll be there in a minute."   He cooed.  He then turned his attention back to the
intruders   "Make it quick, I have important business to attend to."   he ordered.

"I could ask the same of you."  Mulder uttered.

At this point, Lizzie B. intervened,   "His name is Mulder.  He¹s a private detective, who¹s been hired to look
into the PC killings, and I¹m his assistant Elizabeth, but you can call me Lizzie B.  We are here to ask you
and your son some questions about what happened."

The man seemed to relax a little.  "Well, Lucky isn¹t here.  He¹s still in the hospital, and even if he wasn¹t you
wouldn¹t find him here."

"You son is still in the hospital after almost being murdered, and instead of being with him, you¹ve here living
it up with some hussy?"  Elizabeth asked incredulously.

Mulder was appalled at Lizzie B.¹s attack on the man¹s character.  She was usually so detached and
professional when they were on a case.  <What¹s gotten into her lately.>   He thought.

Lizzie B. outburst seemed to have the opposite effect on the other man.  He smiled and invited them in.

"Have a seat while I go break the bad news.  I¹ll be down in a minute."  The man said.

"What do you make of him?"  Lizzie B. asked

After a minute Mulder replied,   "Bad hair, not a morning person, but other then that I have no opinion."

Just then, the man descended the stairs with a pretty blond, both now appropriately dressed.

"My name is Lucas Lorenzo Spencer, but my friends call me Luke.  And this is my wife, Laura."
The man said.

At this point Lizzie B. began to look sheepish.   "I¹m sorry Mr. Spencer, about that crack I made earlier."
 She said apologetically.

"That¹s okay darlin¹.  I like a girl with a little spunk, who¹s not afraid to say what she thinks."   Luke said.

"Hello Lizzie, Jeff told me that you had moved to a place close to Port Charles.  It¹s nice to finally meet you.
I¹m sorry, I¹ve been meaning to call."   Laura said.

"It¹s okay.   I¹m sure you have better things to do with your time than tract down long lost almost relatives."
 Lizzie B. said.

"Okay, so let¹s get down to business.  What do you want to know about Lucky?"  Luke interjected

"Why is your son still in the hospital, and what did you mean when you said that he wouldn¹t be here even if
he wasn¹t?"  Mulder asked.

Laura answered,   "Well the doctors assured us that Lucky is fine, but they wanted to keep him in a couple
of extra days because he was just getting over a nasty flu bug when he was attacked.  They want to make
sure it hasn¹t developed into pneumonia.  As far as the other goes, my son is not living at home.  His
relationship with us is strained at the moment, and he feels that he needs space to heal."

"What happened?  If you don¹t mind me asking."   Lizzie inquired.

"Lucky found out something about my wife and I that he didn¹t like.  It contradicted his idea of who he
thought we were.  And now he¹s running scared because his parents have been knocked off their pedestal,
and he no longer wants to be just like his dad."  Luke finished sadly.

"Oh, one more thing, Mr. Spencer.  Have you ever had a sexual relationship with the recently deceased,
Katherine Bell?"   Mulder asked.

"Are you kidding?  Sex with Katie?  No way, I like my women with a brain as well as a pulse."   Luke said
humorously.

Just then a dark-haired, sleepy looking child appeared on the stairs,   "Who¹s that, Daddy?"  she asked
childishly

"Hey sweetheart, come give daddy a hug."   Luke said.

"She¹s so cute.  What¹s her name?"   Lizzie B. asked.

Mulder leaned over to Lizzie B. and muttered,   "I¹ll bet you 10 to 1 it¹s Lucia."

"This is Lesley Lu Spencer, aka Lulu.  Take a bow sweetheart."   Luke cooed proudly.

Mulder introduced himself and Elizabeth, saying,   "Mulder speaking, and this is my assistant Lizzie B."

"Hi Lizzie B.  Hi, Mul..  Mulda.  Hi, Man."   Lulu said and then giggled

At this point Mulder and Lizzie B. rose and were followed quickly by Luke and Laura.

"Thank you for your time, we need to go and question your son, Lucky.  Do you know if visiting hours are
open yet."   Lizzie B. asked.  She loved the way that name felt on her lips, Lucky.  She could hardly wait to
meet him.

"Yeah Darlin¹,  should be.  The wife and I were going to head down there a little later."   Luke said.

With that Mulder and Lizzie B. headed for the hospital.

Chapter 4

Bobbie is the same as she is on GH, she knows about Carly and Michael with the exception of his paternity.

Emily Q.  is 17yrs.  She was raped in the park the night of the Valentine¹s dance, and with the help of Lucky
she has gotten over it.  As a result, she is more mature.  Her and Lucky are just friends, and Emily still has a
crush on Nik.  Nik and Lucky have teamed up to help her find her rapist.

Nik Cassidine  is 19 yrs.   He is the same as on GH with all the same knowledge.

Mulder and Lizzie B. made their way toward Lucky¹s room.  When they arrived, they walked in to find that
he had a visitor.  A little boy who looked to be about 10yrs old was sitting in a chair next to the bed happily
discussing something with the patient.

Lizzie B. spoke first,   "Ah, we didn¹t mean to interrupt.  We just wanted to ask you some questions."
she said.

Lucky looked up to find a pretty brunette, correction a beautiful brunette, observing him.  "Don¹t sweat it.
Me and my favorite cuz Lucas here were just having a little chat.  If you can wait, my Aunt Bobbie will be
here to pick him up in a second."

<Another Lucas Spencer!>  Amazed, Mulder said.   "You mean, your cousin¹s name is Lucas too?  Call
Guiness!"

Despite himself Lucky laughed,   "I see you¹ve met the family."  He said.

"So we have.  You have a beautiful family, Mr. Spencer."   Lizzie B. said.

At the mention of such a formal title Lucky grimaced,   "Call me Lucky,"   he said looking straight into her
eyes.

Just then Bobbie came into the room, and ushered an excited Lucas out.   Elizabeth didn¹t even see her.
She was mesmerize by his eyes, they were so intense, so intensely blueŠŠ

Hearing Mulder clear his throat heavily, Lizzie B got down to business.  "Yes, well uh, my name is Elizabeth,
Lizzie B. for short, and this is Mulder.  We need to ask you a few questions about the attack."

His eyes never left her face, and in the most sexy voice Elizabeth had ever heard Lucky replied,  "Nice to
meet you Elizabeth,"   he only belatedly added  "Mulder"  with a slight nod of his head in that direction.

"So which ones are you, the Fuzz or the Feds?"   Lucky inquired.

"Neither actually.  I am a private detective, and I was hired to look into the killings that have taken place
recently. "   Mulder explained.

"You were hired by my dad, right?  This is another one of his feeble attempts to protect me or even worse,
track me.  Yeah, well you can just tell him that I said GO TO HELL.  I don¹t need his brand of protection, I
can take care of myself, alone."  Lucky finished bitterly.

"Uh, no, but that¹s a nice little conspiracy theory you have."   Mulder replied.  Geez, he thought   <And
people say I¹m paranoid!>

"Sorry man, It¹s just reflex I guess,"   Lucky said sheepishly,

"Let me assure you, no one was more surprised by our investigation than your father was when Lizzie B. and
I arrived on his door step this morning."  Mulder said with a smirk.

Lucky noted Mulder¹s expression and then glanced over at Elizabeth, who blushed attractively at the
memory of the morning¹s previous encounter.  Silently, Lucky promised to charm that little secret out of her
at a later date.

"Who did hire you?"   Lucky inquired.

"A Port Charles resident by the name of Dana Scarlet,"   Mulder supplied as he pictured her delectable little
body in his head.

"Never heard of her,"   Lucky said.

"Are you sure?  She said that she grew up in this town."   Elizabeth asked.

"If that were true, I¹d have heard of her, Elizabeth.  The Spencers have lived in Port Charles for years, Lulu
and I were born here."   Lucky said

"I¹m not surprised."   Mulder said.  "I had a feeling she was lying or at the very least hiding something."

"Like what?  She couldn¹t even hide her thoughts, in the dress she had on!"   Lizzie B. muttered.

"She wasn¹t THAT exposed."   Mulder countered.

"Oh Please!  Judging from that dress, I bet her whole wardrobe fits into a zip lock bag."   Lizzie B.
exclaimed.

Lucky smiled at their banter, cleared his throat, and said,   "Aren¹t we digressing just a little.  I thought you
were here to question me."

"Of course, ah, why don¹t you just tell us your account of what happened and I¹ll ask questions as they
come up.  Okay?"  Mulder said.

"Cool,"  and with that Lucky launched into his account of that night.

When Lucky got to the part of the story where he was outside emptying the trash, Mulder interrupted him
and said,   "When is garbage day in this district?"

"Every Tuesday,"  Lucky lied.  "Anyway, while I was outside dumping the trash, I began to feel light-headed,
then all of a sudden I saw a figure coming toward me.  I tried to turn and fight but he caught me off guard,
which in itself is strange because I¹m usually very quick on my feet.  Anyway, next thing I know I¹m at GH."

"Can you give us any sort of description of the figure you saw?"  Elizabeth asked.

Again meeting her eyes, he answered   "Not really.   Like I said, he caught me off guard.  Although, I do
remember thinking that he was rather short for a robber.  You see, I¹m about 5¹8" or  9", and this guy had to
reach up just to strike me on the head.  Oh and one other thing, when I woke up and the doctors first told
me what had happened to me, they also informed me that I had traces of some sort of sedative in my system.
They asked me if I had any ideas as to how it may have gotten there.  I didn¹t and I still don¹t."  he
concluded

"Okay, I know that the police probably bought that story but why don¹t you give us the unabridged version.
Starting with why you lied about Tuesday being garbage day."  Mulder said flatly.

<Damn!  He¹s good>  Lucky thought.  "Okay, just promise me that Śthe naked truth¹ stays just between
us."   Lucky said apprehensively.

"I¹m nothing if not discreet."  Mulder said

"Well, most of what I said about the attack is true, the light headedness, the height difference, and the
sedative.  The thing is I wasn¹t out there emptying the trash, I was waiting for someone, Nik Cassidine.  We
were supposed to meet up outside the club after I got off work."  Lucky confessed.

"Who is he and what has he got to do with anything?"  Mulder asked.

"He¹s my half-brother, and we sort of buried the hatchet so we could help out a mutual friend.  We were set
to meet, in order to go over a plan we were working on, so when I first saw the figure coming out of the
shadows I assumed it was him, which is how the murderer got the drop on me.  Nik is the one who
interrupted him, and called 911."   Lucky said

"Okay, I¹ll get his version later.  By the way, who is the third party involved and what exactly were you
helping her with?"  Mulder inquired.

"What makes you think it¹s a girl?"   Lucky asked defensively.

"A logical deduction.  Who is she?"   Mulder asked relentlessly.

"Not a word right?"  Lucky paused until he got confirmation from Mulder then continued,   "Her name is
Emily Quartermine and she was raped in the park 6 months ago.  Nik and I were setting up a trap to catch
her rapist."  Lucky said cautiously.

"Oh, how awful.  I¹m sorry, we didn¹t mean to pry."   Elizabeth sympathized.

"It¹s okay, how could you know.  For all you knew I was the PC killer and was lying to cover my tracks.
By the way, Mulder how did you know I was lying?"  Lucky asked in confusion.

"The garbage trucks woke me up this morning, and today is Thursday.  It also struck me as odd that a
street-wise guy like you would be caught off guard and attacked that easily.  You should have at least had
time to struggle or yell or something unless of course the attacker was someone you knew and you were
protecting him for some reason, which I must confess is what I suspected at first.  Now that I know the truth,
I¹m sorry I asked.  Don¹t worry, I¹ll take your secret to the grave."  Mulder assured him.

With that Mulder began to stand.  Elizabeth reluctantly followed, her eyes still glued on Lucky.

"Thanks man, I owe you.  Let me know if you need any help finding this guy.  I¹m not all that thrilled about
what he did to my neck."  Lucky said good-naturedly.

Lucky¹s eyes fell on Elizabeth.  When Mulder turned to walk out, Elizabeth hesitated still locked in
Lucky¹s  gaze.  Just then Lucky mouthed silently,   "Meet me back here tonight?"   to which she gently
nodded her head.

"You coming Lizzie B?  I want to go down to the coroner¹s office and go over the forensic evidence before
we call it a day.  We can pick up a copy of everyone¹s police statement on the way."  Mulder informed her.

Taking one last parting look at Lucky, Elizabeth said,   "Sure thing, Boss."   and followed Mulder out of the
room.

Chapter 5

Mulder and Lizzie B. stopped by Commissioner¹s Scorpio¹s Office and picked up the statement transcripts
for all the victim¹s family members and other witnesses.    Mulder was working his way through the
statements while they were on their way to the coroner¹s office.  Lizzie B.¹s thoughts were preoccupied with
Lucky¹s invitation.

<Oh man!  What am I going to tell the Boss about tonight?>   Lizzie B. thought.  <I hate lying to him but I
can¹t tell him the truth.  He would never approve of me getting involved with a witness, never mind that he
himself is stuck on that breathless bimbo, Scarlet.  Well it could be worse, Lucky could be a suspect.>

Without looking up from his papers Mulder said,   "Why don¹t you try actually stopping at the next red light,
huh?"

"Yeah, whatever you say, Boss."   Elizabeth returned acidly.  Elizabeth was still trying to think of an
appropriate excuse when they pulled into the parking lot of the coroner¹s office.

"Did you get the name of the pathologist who did the autopsies?   I want to get his/her personal insights as
well as the official report."   Mulder inquired.

Lizzie B. smiled secretly.  <He would never admit it, but Mulder put just as much stock in people¹s opinions,
feelings, and intuitions as he did in actual hard facts. >

"I called the office, but I had a bad connection on the cell, so all I got was the last name.  ŚScully¹ I think it
was."  She said.

"That¹s fine."  He replied.

They went into the front entrance, where they asked the receptionist if she knew where they could find a
pathologist by the name of Scully.

"Oh, you must mean Dr. Dana Scully."   She replied.   "She¹s in the examination room, three doors down
from here.  She has the paper work you requested all ready for you."

"Geez, is there a shortage of names in this town?  Why else would everyone have to share?  First Lucas,
 now Dana!"   Mulder said sarcastically.

Lizzie B. was still smiling at his comment when they enter the examination room.  Her smile quickly faded at
what she saw.   "A name is not the only thing Ms. Scarlet and Dr. Scully share, Boss."   Elizabeth said
weakly as she stared at a face and body that was identical to that of Scarlets¹.   Except for her ultra
conservative clothes, Scully was the mirror image of their client.

Mulder seemed shocked for a minute, but quickly regained his composure.  "Hello again, Red."   He said.

She looked at them rather oddly.   "I prefer to be addressed by title, either Dr. or Agent Scully, or you may
simply called me Scully, but under no circumstances will I answer to ŚRed¹."   She said coldly.

"What about Scarlet?"  Mulder asked mischievously.

Ignoring him, Scully addressed Lizzie B.   "Are you the woman on the phone who requested the autopsy
reports?  Because, If you are, I suggest that you take them and go before I have your friend here thrown
out."  Scully said in a no nonsense voice.

Finally getting serious Mulder asked,   "Do you mean to tell me, that you actually don¹t remember my
assistant and I from last night?"

"Look MrŠ"   she prompted.

"Mulder.  No Mr., just Mulder."   he supplied

"Look Mr. Mulder, I¹ve never seen you before in my life."   Scully said.

"Maybe we should start from the beginning."  Mulder said faintly   "My name is Mulder.  I¹m a private
detective who was hired by you, or at least someone who looks exactly like you, to look into the PC killings.
She called herself Scarlet, Dana Scarlet.  Who exactly are you if you¹re not her?"

"All of a sudden, my head hurts."  Lizzie B. said weakly as she took a seat in a near by chair.

"My name is Dana Catherine Scully.  I¹m a forensic pathologist, and I¹m also an investigative agent with the
FBI, and what we have here is a failure to communicate.  Your client is my sister, Deanna Scully."   Scully
explained.   "Obviously, we¹re twins."

"That still doesn¹t explain why she called herself Dana Scarlet?"  Mulder asked suspiciously.

"If you¹ve met my sister, then I¹m sure you¹re familiar with her tendency to play games, in this case the name
game.  She¹s harmless, in fact this time I actually think she was trying to help me.  You see she knows what a
hard time the FBI is having trying to solve this case, my self included."  Scully said.

<Geez, two of them!  Well, at least Scully isn¹t breathless like her sister, and she dresses better too.>   Lizzie
B. thought

"Well now that everything is cleared up, why don¹t we get down to business.  We¹re here to pick up the
autopsy reports and to get your unofficial medical opinion about what you found."  Elizabeth said.

"I found pretty much what I expected to find, more or less anyway.  Although, there are a couple of things
that I can¹t figure out."  She said pausing.

"What?"  Mulder prompted.

"I found traces of a sedative commonly known as ŚKnock out Drops¹ in all of the victims blood streams
except one, Katherine Bell.  Now in case you don¹t know, Knock out Drops is most commonly found in
rape victims, i.e. women.  The fact that these murders were not sex crimes makes it odd for them to all have
a drug notoriously linked with rape and date rape in their systems.  But what really makes it strange, is that
the drug was found only in the three male victims as well as the one surviving male and not the dead female."
 Scully explained.

"It may seem strange to you, but this evidence whole-heartedly supports a theory I have.  Did it ever occur
to you that the murderer is a woman?"  Mulder asked her.  "When I talked to Lucky Spencer this afternoon,
he told me that the person that attacked him was so short that they had to reach up to hit him over the head,
and he¹s only about 5¹8" or 9".  Even short men usually aren¹t that short.   By the same token, anyone that
short would also have to be little, therefore making it necessary to sedate the much larger male victims in
order to kill them.  Since Ms. Bell was probably closer in size and strength to the murderess, it was not
necessary to subdue her with a sedative."

"That¹s an interesting theory.  You could be right."  Scully said.

"You said a couple of things.  What was the other thing that bothered you about the bodies?"  Elizabeth
inquired.

"All the victims were killed in a different way.  But their injuries were inflicted upon the same area of the
body, the mouth, nose, or throat.  The police took this to mean that all the victims were killed by the same
person esp. considering the fact that the sedate was found in 3 of the 4 victims.  This is very unusual behavior
for a serial killer, and bizarre now that you think that the killer is a woman.  For one thing, almost 100% of
serial killers are male.  And secondly, most of them kill all their victims in exactly the same way.  The details
of each murder are both exact and identical.  Here, that¹s not the case, there is a lot of variation going on.
There was a strangulation, a drowning, a suffocation, and an alcohol poisoning.  To tell you the truth, I¹m
not completely convinced that these people were all killed by the same person."   She concluded.

"I agree.  I¹ve never considered these murders as serials or this murderess as a serial killer.  It¹s also a toss
up as to whether there is a sole murderer or a duo, trio, etc."  Mulder said as he stared down at Scully
transfixed.  "I find it fascinating that you and I arrived at the exact same conclusions."

<Ah Hell!  He¹s got the hots for this one too.>  Elizabeth lamented.  < If this keeps up, I¹ll never be able to
get away, and it¹s already dusk. >

As if on cue Mulder said,   "Why don¹t I go over these reports tonight, and if I have anymore questions we
can get together tomorrow night and discuss them?"  Mulder suggested.

"Okay, that sounds good.  Give me a call, I¹m in the phone book."   Scully said enthusiastically.

With that they left the office.   When they were safely in the car, Mulder turned to Lizzie B. and said,   "Why
don¹t you take the rest of the night off?  I have a few things that I¹d like to check on, and the method I¹m
planning on using is not exactly legal."  He warned.

Hardly able to keep from smiling, Lizzie B. said,   "That¹s cool, Boss.  I have some things I want to do
anyway."

Elizabeth was so excited that she almost forgot to ask him what his plans were.  "By the way, what ARE you
going to be up to tonight?"  she finally asked

"Well first I¹m going over to Scullys¹ and do a little B&E (breaking & entering).  There¹s something strange
about her and her sister.  Since she¹s here I¹ll have plenty of time to get in, hide, and see what she¹s up to.  I
also want to check out Dr. Jones¹ place.  A thought occurred to me, what if Dr. Jones was the killer¹s
supplier.  Where else would she get such a vast abundance of the sedative?  I¹m betting that Jones was the
supplier and once he had fulfilled his purpose, she killed him and then made it look like he was just another
one of the victims."  Mulder finished excitedly.

"Sounds like a plan to me."  Lizzie B. agreed.

Elizabeth dropped Mulder off at the hotel, where he took a cab to Scully¹s house.  Elizabeth took the car
and headed over to GH..
